2008 Superlap Open Class Rules & Regulations
The rules of the Superlap 2008 Open Class Series are designed to ensure the highest level of safety. All drivers and vehicles must comply with all written and oral directions of the event promoters. Failure to comply will result in immediate exclusion from the event.
All rules and regulations listed will be checked in scrutineering prior to each event by a suitably qualified engineer. Any vehicle or driver failing to comply with these regulations will not be allowed to enter the event. The rules and regulations apply to all Superlap Open Class Series entrants - no exceptions will be made.
BE SURE TO READ THE RULES AND REGULATIONS PRIOR TO ENTERING TO ENSURE YOU AND YOUR VEHICLE ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ENTRY INTO THE SUPERLAP OPEN CLASS SERIES.

THIS IS NOT A DRIFT EVENT. DRIFTING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
14.1 Open Class
14.1.1 Vehicles
All Vehicles must be available for purchase from a major manufacturer currently/previously as a factory OEM vehicle. No Open Wheel vehicles, Clubman-style or kit cars allowed.
No rear engine 6 cylinder or above vehicles are allowed in the Open Class.
All driveline types are allowed. (4WD, FWD and RWD )
14.1.2 Body Type and Modifications
All vehicles must retain their original chassis/body. If the chassis/body has been modified in any way, all modifications must be submitted for approval to the promoter for a decision regarding eligibility.
No tube frame vehicles or tube frame chassis extensions are allowed, unless part of the OEM structure.
All convertible type vehicles must have a hard top, or a full roll cage compliant with CAMS regulations for Speed Events
The Promoter will be the sole arbiter of vehicle eligibility
14.1.3 Vehicle Modifications
Unlimited engine modifications are allowed in Open Class.
All vehicles entering the Superlap Open Class must run on tyres off the following list

No Methanol based fuels are allowed. No Nitrous Systems are allowed.
Unlimited Suspension modifications are allowed.
